Sprinkler System Tune-Up
Need your sprinklers dialed in for summer? Our trained technicians check for leaks, adjust heads, program your controller, and offer solutions so your grass gets perfect coverage.
More Info →Kearns soils are typically silt loam with a high amount of gravel and small stones. This gives Kearns yards good drainage, so puddling is uncommon, but moisture does not stay in the soil very long. Because water moves through quickly and organic matter is often low, sprinkler systems usually need shorter, more frequent watering to keep lawns healthy without waste.
We are licensed with Utah's Division of Professional Licensing (DOPL) to perform landscape irrigation services in Kearns. We are also fully insured in case anything ever goes wrong.
We guarantee arrival within 48 hours (during business days) or you get $25 off the cost of your visit. During the hot summer months, Utah's cool-season grass gets hit hard by the heat. We understand that when the sprinklers break or when new plants are put into your landscape, you need service as soon as possible.
Looking for a second opinion? Don't wait days for someone to show up: we have an online estimate calculator and phone estimates for new system installations on properties listed on Google Maps. For sprinkler repairs, just give us a call or go to our pricing page for clearly outlined prices for every type of sprinkler repair.
When you sign up for a Storm Shield plan to professionally maintain your system, we warranty every component for 5 years. Most companies have warranties that expire after a few months, if they have them at all! We use only the highest quality parts installed by highly trained, background-checked crews.
Your safety and peace of mind is important to us. We don't hire anyone who doesn't pass a background check and drug test. Beyond that, we train our staff specifically on providing top-tier service, and we take complaints very seriously.

Kearns soils are typically silt loam with a high amount of gravel and small stones. This gives Kearns yards good drainage, so puddling is uncommon, but moisture does not stay in the soil very long. Because water moves through quickly and organic matter is often low, sprinkler systems usually need shorter, more frequent watering to keep lawns healthy without waste.
Most Kearns homes irrigate using culinary (drinking) water from the Kearns Improvement District. Residential rates are tiered: $2.78 per 1,000 gallons for the first 10,000 gallons, $3.49 up to 25,000 gallons, $4.74 up to 45,000 gallons, and $6.77 above that. A monthly base fee of about $11.50 also applies. There is no township-wide secondary water system.
Kearns does not have a city-controlled irrigation shut-off, so sprinkler timing follows freeze dates. The first hard freeze usually occurs around October 25, and the last spring freeze averages around April 16. Most homeowners winterize sprinkler systems by mid-October and wait until mid-to-late April, or even early May, to safely turn systems back on.
Kearns does not enforce fixed watering days under normal conditions. Residents are encouraged to avoid watering between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM to reduce evaporation. During drought alerts, watering may be limited to evening and early morning hours, typically 6:00 PM to 8:00 AM, and could be restricted to fewer days per week. Broken sprinklers and visible water waste must be corrected promptly.
Kearns residents qualify for regional rebates through Utah Water Savers and Jordan Valley Water programs. Incentives include smart irrigation controller rebates, Flip Your Strip lawn removal rebates paid per square foot, and Localscapes rewards for water-efficient landscape designs. Kearns Improvement District has also provided free landscape consultations and small irrigation-rate discounts for approved smart controllers on irrigation-only meters.
All sprinkler systems in Kearns connected to culinary water must have an approved backflow prevention device. Common options include pressure vacuum breakers (PVBs) or double-check valve assemblies, with RP assemblies required for higher-risk systems. Kearns Improvement District requires annual testing by a certified tester, with results submitted to the district. Proper backflow protection is mandatory to keep drinking water safe.
